Coalition forming of community organizations and institutions for climate protection

On October 12, Susan Moore, Kim Clement, and Ann Hancock will convene representatives of Sonoma County's major community-based organizations and institutions. Participants will receive information about the community-wide greenhouse gas emission reduction targets that all the cities and the County have set. They will be asked to sign a personal community commitment statement, and also to take a statement back to their organizations and institutions for formal endorsement of the target.

Speakers at the event include Greg Sarris on "Culture and Memory," Dr. Dorothy Freidel on climate change science, and Ann Hancock on local action for climate protection.
