Climate Protection Expo GOAL: The goal of the 2007 Climate Protection Expo is to raise awareness in the community about how to engage Sonoma County residents in climate protection efforts. We want to highlight businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations with resources for reducing greenhouse gas emissions at home, at work and in the community. This event will be engaging, positive and fun through music, demonstrations, raffles and learning activities. BACKGROUND: All nine cites in Sonoma County and the county have set targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions causing climate change. The target was the boldest set by any community in the United States, 25% below 1990 levels by 2015. The solutions to climate change are both individual and community-wide, making the Santa Rosa Downtown Market an excellent venue for sharing these solutions with residents. LOCATION: We will take over Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa on the west side of Santa Rosa Avenue between 3rd and 4th Street. ACTIVITIES:
