Many participate in the Sonoma County Climate Protection Campaign - local elected
officials, County and city staff, teachers, students, business people,
activists, and regular concerned citizens. Our

Renata brings to the Campaign a strong background in communications, education and strategy. Her previous positions include Director of the Genetic Engineering Policy Alliance (a statewide coalition) and Communications Director and Sustainable Agriculture Project Manager for Occidental Arts and Ecology Center. Renata's focus with the campaign is to implement the Community Climate Action Plan.

Dave spent 25 years as a software and systems engineer, working primarily in startup companies. In 2001 he returned to school and received a degree in Energy Management and Design from SSU. He began working with the Campaign in 2003, and has focused on local solutions to the problem of global warming ever since.
Ann co-founded the Climate Protection Campaign in 2001. With over 25 years in community leadership, education, and fundraising, she has been a sustainability planner for the County of Marin, commentator for TomPaine.com, human sexuality instructor at Humboldt State University, and real estate broker. She has a Masters in Public Health Administration and Planning, UCB.
Ryn is a board member for the Leadership Institute of Ecology and the Economy and member of the Sustainable Enterprise Coalition. From drafting at a nuclear power plant to living in a Buddhist monastery, she has traveled a diverse path to climate protection. Ryn works with the Sonoma County Energy Watch Partnership helping businesses save money as they become more energy efficient. She holds a BA in English Literature from Cal Poly.
Lora has nearly 14 years of community-based, human services experience in office administration and direct services. She has a BA in Sociology, has been a resident of Sonoma County for 20 years, and is a passionate advocate for reducing greenhouse gases.
Sam is a Sebastopol City Councilmember, an architect, and a mechanical engineer with years of experience in energy efficiency project management. His focus with the Campaign is to help local governments develop greenhouse gas emission reduction plans. Through his assistance, the County of Sonoma, Sebastopol and Rohnert Park have adopted aggressive plans.
Maitreyi has worked with several innovative community-based education projects in India. Her environmental roots go back to her high school days in Rishi Valley, Andhra Pradesh, India, which led to her pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work specializing in Urban and Rural Community Development, from Tata Institute. Among other things, she loves dance and diversity because they make the world go ‘round!
Barry began working with the Campaign in 2005. Prior to this, Barry directed a nonprofit in the Sierras and built the organization from total resources of less than $8000 to in excess of $2,103,000 in less than seven years. He also worked as director of a nonprofit promoting organic agriculture in Nepal and as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. He has an M.A. in International Public Administration.
Liz brings a wide range of skills from her experience in sales, marketing, engineering and program management at Hewlett Packard Company. She is a Certified Green Building Professional and trained in photovoltaic design and installation. She is applying her skill and passion for continuous process improvement to the Campaign’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
