Martha Kowalick, President
Martha Kowalick's background is in organizing, planning, and fundraising on local, regional, and national levels. Trained by the United Farm Workers, she has worked on health, security, and women's issues. She is one of the founding partners of the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center.
Lawrence Jaffe, Vice President and Treasurer
Lawrence lives in Sebastopol with his wife and two daughters. He is an attorney. He formerly served on the Board of the Santa Rosa Downtown Market, and as an aide to Pat Wiggins when she was in the Assembly. He also operated Left Field Farm.
Jim McGreen,Secretary
Jim's background includes: Chairman/CEO of dLoo, Inc- a software development company; Past President and CEO of ZAP Power Systems; Board member of Farm9, an internet security company; Board Member of LITE Initiatives, which is the parent to CarLite and Community Bikes; been to Burning Man 16 times.
Demaris Brinton
Demaris Brinton is a corporate attorney working as in-house counsel with several Sonoma County high tech startups, and also serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the Community Foundation Sonoma County. Her previous experience includes working at Pillsbury Winthrop in San Francisco, in Washington D.C. for both the House of Representatives and the Senate, and for Conservation International, a DC-based nonprofit focused on protecting biodiversity.
Elizabeth Herron
One of the founding Board members, Professor Emeritus Elizabeth Herron, MA, PhD, MFT, taught ecology writing, contemplative practice, and the creative process for 27 years at Sonoma State University. She is a published author of prose and poetry.
