On July 28, 2004, Whole Foods Market presented $1,190 to
Voice of the Future, its Envirocents group for the
spring quarter. Every time market patrons bring their own bags or
donate at the check out stand, their contributions accumulate in
a fund that Whole Foods market Sebastopol gives to the selected
community organization.
"It's an honor for Whole Foods Market Sebastopol to
support Voice of the Future," said Eddie Sonnenblick,
Marketing and Community Outreach Coordinator. "Helping young
people speak out on issues impacting their future is a gift to our
local community as well as the whole planet."
"I am very pleased to accept this donation on behalf of our
local youth," said Voice of the Future Coordinator Kellie
Noe, "We are fortunate to live in a community where local businesses
support educational efforts like ours. This contribution will help
us succeed in our mission." added Noe.
